A Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) is an individual who assist a RN or LPN with dispensing and passing medications and or applying/administrating treatments. In addition, a QMA must obtain six (6) hours of medication related in-service education each year. A QMA works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse and can perform only procedures that are defined within the QMA scope of practice.
This mandatory session will last approximately one hour and serves as your first step toward program enrollment. During the session, participants will:
-Take a pre-entrance exam to assess basic knowledge & readiness for the program.
-Receive detailed information about upcoming phlebotomy class dates, schedules, tuition, and program expectations.
-Learn more about the externship process and certification requirements.

-Seating is limited to registered attendees only.
-Please arrive on time and bring a valid photo ID and writing materials.
-Business casual attire is recommended.
- Must attend information session prior to enrollment
By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear understanding of the enrollment process and next steps toward joining the Phlebotomy program at Essential Healthcare Academy.
