Certificate in Phlebotomy Technician

Summary

Essential Healthcare Academy's Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares students with the knowledge, technical skills, and hands-on experience needed to become successful phlebotomy professionals. Through classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and a supervised externship, students develop the confidence to safely collect and process blood specimens while providing compassionate patient care. The program is designed to prepare graduates for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification examination.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must complete the admissions process and meet program requirements, including:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Government-issued photo ID 
  • Drug screening (if required by the clinical site) 
  • Hep B
  • Completion of all enrollment requirements
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
